Planetary Struggles: Ecocide, Genocide, Internationalism

There is an intimate link between the great ecological and social destructions taking place today, between unsustainability and inequality, between depleting the earth and exploiting living labor, between ecocide and genocide.

This week 1 seminar will explore the planet from the angle of the multifarious struggles that crisscross it, paying particular attention to the increasing convergences between ecological and social struggles and to the imperative challenge of a new internationalism.

Readings may include works by Andreas Malm, Walter Rodney, Emanuele Leonardi, Aimé Césaire, Frantz Fanon, Silvia Federici, Stefania Barca, Giovanni Arrighi, Antonio Negri, Michael Hardt, Sandro Mezzadra, Patrick Wolfe, and Alexander Dunlap.
